Sean Longstreet is an award-winning educator, guitarist and composer from Southern California. After completing his bachelors in Music Education & Jazz Guitar from the University of Redlands, Sean went on to receive his Masters in Instrumental Conducting from Sam Houston State University while teaching instrumental music for nearly a decade, leading numerous schools in expanding and enriching their music programs.
Sean's original compositions and scores have been featured in various films and productions. Most recently, his critically acclaimed big band piece "5th Street Stomp" premiered at the Idyllwild Jazz Festival and his additional arrangements were performed by the Etiwanda High School Jazz Ensemble at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
In addition to composing and teaching, Sean also performs nationally and internationally as a freelance jazz guitar player in several distinguished jazz and big band groups, including The Longstreet Quintet, JazzGrass, The Cat The Hag and The Longstreet, and Gatsby's Fiddle.
